Bourbon 101

9/18 @ 3 p.m. & 5 p.m.
Join Bourbon expert and owner of Rich’s Proper, Bill Whitlow, during your journey into Bourbon 101. As Bill welcomes you with an opening drink, he will take you on a tasting experience of 4 specially selected private collection bourbons.

Rich’s Proper Food and Drink brings you a “proper” touch of service to a casual, yet cozy atmosphere maintaining a collection of a least 100 different bourbons, mostly from Kentucky. Located at 701 Madison Avenue in Covington, the name originated from the Historic Rich’s Gruen Watches which occupied the corner in its past prime.

Bill Whitlow began working in the restaurant industry at age 16 as a host, busser and oyster shucker in Lexington, KY. Over nearly 20 years, Bill has worked in restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining. Prior to branching out on his own, Bill developed the Wiseguy Lounge concert at Goodfellas Pizzeria in 2012. For over 5 years, he helped curate their mind-blowing bourbon collections and create cocktails at the 4 additional locations during his tenure.

MyEO Countryside Bike Tour

Monday, 9/19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Monday morning before XCentric starts, enjoy a bike ride and lunch along the scenic Little Miami bike trail, the fourth longest paved trail in the US.

This is a “Choose your own adventure” outing where you can choose to take your time and have a nice leisurely ride, or you can push yourself to go further than anyone else in the group. The path is paved and almost entirely flat, so it is ideal for the occasional cyclist, but enthusiasts love the ability to focus on pedaling without having to worry about vehicle traffic. The shortest distance you will cover is 20 miles, and the longest is entirely up to you.

The event departs the Westin at 9:00am Monday, and returns by 3:00pm that afternoon. Price includes transportation to the trailhead, along with a rental bike and helmet. Lunch is self-pay, but we have coordinated with a restaurant along the trail for a reserved space.
